Paul Phoenix (Tenor) writes:
'After seventeen very happy years I shall be retiring from the King's Singers in August this year, and before I do I wanted to say 'thank you' to the local community, friends and family for all their support over the years. What better way to do this than a farewell concert? So, on Friday May 30th The King's Singers will be performing in Great Gransden Church, with all proceeds from the concert going to the Watoto Children's Choir in Uganda. (For more information visit: www.watoto.com) It promises to be a very special evening for all, and we look forward to seeing you in May.
The video shows an encore performed by the Kings' singers at our concert in May 2014. Paul Phoenix, who is retiring later in 2014 sings a love song to his wife. Well deserved, and well sung. A great evening was had by all. Please excuse the movie quality, it was done on an iPad and not really intended for a larger audience.
Thanks to Liz Day for providing it, and the other pics and to the KS for allowing us to post it. In case you are wondering, the song is I'm Yours by Jason Mraz. You can see the original video here
